APSL Charity Dinner

The Annual Charity Dinner of the Association of Professional Sri Lankans in the
UK (APSL) this year was held on the 26th November 2022 a the Thistle T5 hotel,
London. The event was well attended with many members, well wishers and friends
and family.
Amongst the distinguished that attended were Sri Lankan High Commissioner, H. E
Mrs Saroja Sirisena, great niece of the late Duke of Edinburgh HRH Princess
Katarina, and representatives of a number of UK based Sri Lankan organisations.
The Charity Dinner was held in aid of raising funds for much needed vocational
training opportunities for young adults in Sri Lanka.
The event was compered by Ms. Lushani Kodituwakku, whilst the welcome address
was delivered by President Thushara Madurasinghe. Thereafter H.E Mrs Saroja
Sirisena addressed the gathering commending on the work that the Association has
carried out over the past few years.
A presentation of the outlining status of current projects was delivered by Vice
President, Dr Leshan Uggalla.
Guests were entertained by music provided by DJ Prasanna and Sri Lankan cuisuine
provided by Rising Sun caterers.
APSL Committee would like to extended its heartfelt thanks to the guests,
sponsors, our donors, media outlets and well wishers for their for presence and
support for making the evening a memorable occasion.
