Established in 2004, APSL is an association open to all Sri Lankans in the UK, irrespective of their ethnicity, creed or political affiliation. Our aim is to promote unity and professionalism among the Sri Lankans, foster good will and cultural relations in the UK, as well as support relief and development activities in Sri Lanka.
The 'Living in the UK' discussion series has been a platform for Sri Lankans across the UK to explore Eastern and Western values in their daily lives. These events, attended by all age groups, cover topics like friendships, cultural roots, and integrating two sets of values, offering an open space to share experiences.

With 70 to 100 participants per event, we're grateful for the venues that host us. To get involved or share suggestions, contact Project Lead Thushara Madurasinghe at treasurer@apsl.org.uk.
Since its launch in 2009, APSL's “Ask the Expert” series has provided a platform for members and the general public to benefit from the knowledge of experts in their respective fields. The event series is designed to make specialised knowledge accessible, with experts breaking down complex topics into clear, relatable discussions. Held three times a year, these sessions cover diverse areas including economics, law, medicine, engineering, and business.
